1st Review – I really felt sorry for Shy. First of all because of the name he was given but also because he had to starve until Haley went through the kitchen. I really enjoyed this one though. I liked Haley’s confession at the end, it was supper cute after we knew that Shy didn’t know a think about plumbing but went up anyway. The game they played before she took a shower in his apartment everything was cute and actually quite fun.
I was really excited about this one as it was written by Jenny Han and I love her! I loved this short story although I think it could have been longer. I lived reading it and it kind of reminded me of the movie ‘elf’. I also would have like to see some romance between Lars and Natty after she got his address and if she decided to stay at the North Pole or leave to be with humans.
2nd Review about My True Love Gave to Me Twelve Holiday Stories PDF Book by Stephanie Perkins – This short story was just adorable! Sophie hadn’t made any friends at her new college that understood her and her sense of humor. By making a comment about Ned Flanders her and Russell form a friendship which turn into more and it’s so cute seeing that journey even though it is a short story. I think it’s so important that you find someone that is the same weird as you and Sophie did. This one was pretty good. It had me wanting to read and read until it was finished. Vaughn Hatcher was a prankster and also reminds me of a guy i used to like with the same last name. When all people saw was bad in him the pastor at the local church didnt see it in him and neither did his daughtee Gracie. In this short story you see the change in Vaughn, him wanting to be a better person. ‘You took it exactly far enough’ was a great last sentance.
